Our Purpose
Our Purpose is to help people know the Lord and become devoted followers of Christ by living out the biblical purpose of the church. We strive to be a place where we can worship and glorify God together. Grow in Gods word, and build authentic relationship to help support our walk. Serve one another within our congregation, our community and beyond with Christ’s love, and share the good news of Jesus with those who don’t know Him.
Our Mission
We desire to honor God by leading people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Our Vision
In the past few years, First Baptist Church Buda has experienced significant growth, consistently adding new members to our church family. This rapid growth has necessitated that FBC Buda develop a vision plan to expand our programs and facilities for the future. Pursuing this vision has us exploring new horizons.
At its core, this plan desires faithfulness to the historical roots and Christian heritage that have long identified the family of faith at FBC Buda. As we continue to grow, we desire to remain true to our identity and the very qualities that attracted many to our fellowship: worshipping and serving our Savior with unyielding devotion. We want to grow deeper in our relationship with Him and one another, while reaching out to minister His love to our community and the world. We are a people grounded in traditional worship, Biblically based preaching, and warm, down-home Christian fellowship.
Our vision for growth includes an expansion plan for new facilities to meet our congregation’s needs. This includes new spaces for worship, education, and fellowship that will minister to all ages. Along with new facilities, we are placing a new emphasis on expanding our ministries: adding staff to serve our growing congregation, increasing our mission emphasis in Buda and through cross-cultural, hands-on gospel work, and strengthening the home and family.
Scripture tells us, 'Where there is no vision, the people perish' (Proverbs 29:18). We are a people who desire a greater, expanding vision of what God has for us. We encourage you to catch the vision with us, help make it a reality, and join us in casting our vision toward even greater things for His Kingdom and His glory!

CATCH
THE VISION!
(1) COMMITMENT: Remain faithful to who we are; a church and people committed to the traditional style of worship, Biblically based preaching and teaching of God’s Word, and good old-fashioned Christian fellowship.
(2) BUILDING: Expanded church campus; for worship, education and fellowship.
(3) MINISTRIES: We are committed to growing our staff to meet the increasing needs of our church family and our community. Our vision is to expand our ministerial team by adding positions such as Associate Pastor, Music Minister, paid Children’s Minister, and full-time Youth Minister, ensuring we have the leadership necessary to thrive.
(4) MISSIONS: A greater mission footprint for our church in our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the world; this would include more hands on involvement in actual missions being done in Buda and the surrounding area, but also throughout our world. A part of this vision would include our church personally engaging in a direct, hands-on mission on foreign soil.
(5) FAMILIES: A new emphasis and focus on strengthening the home and family through ministries geared toward the home, toward strengthening marriages, finances, raising of children and other issues pertaining to the home and family.
